Below are many of the area pooches we have the pleasure of welcoming into our pack. My family and I take this responsibility of caring for your four legged family members very seriously. Great care and planning ensure every animal stays safe, comfortable and entertained the entire time of their visit.
These two elder siblings are as quiet and sweet and gentle as any two pooches we have had the pleasure to host. They silently follow us room to room, outside and in, asking nothing other than to remain by our sides.
These two go after each other like hooligans in an old time cartoon. A paw whack to the head can quickly escalate into a running grumbling tumble of fur. Yet hours later they lie muzzle to muzzle comfortably on the couch.
Ranger's fascination with frog hunting is expressed through hours of circling peppered with precarious leans over the waters edge. Despite repeated warnings he splashes often from the heat of ninety degree days.
Gator's piercing blue eyes are far more interested in the thick of wild rose. Her diving is into a sea of green and with a crash of breaking bramble, she scares a dozen birds into flight that none guessed there.
Tally can sometimes look right out of the Star Wars barroom scene, a cross between a poodle and wookie. Energetic, a little timid but very playful. You can get her tearing around the yard with a deliberate step and then running looks like a towel blowing in the wind.
Sonja's dad said she doesn't get along with dogs. After a couple days in the pokey sniffing the fur through bars we tried Sonja in the yard with Bailley and Missy. Sonja was soon joyfully racing through the yard with any dog who wanted to run. No one would guess she was unsociable and she left us as a thoroughly happy dog who loves the company of canines.
Golden Gus gets along with all the dogs and easily adapts to the nature of pooches around him. He runs like a linebacker with the Swiss Mountain and minutes later pads softly among the old ladies. He is a big dog you can take anywhere with little worry.
Ryder, a one year old rescue, is our fastest pack member. With a a random branch he will lead a pack of dogs with great pleasure.
Gracie has the sweet and gentle disposition that make labs famous. Her first visit with the visiting Swiss Mountain dogs proved far too rough for one so sweet. So Gracie stayed by my side her entire visit and loved the Swiss through the safety of the pokey bars.
Winnie watches silently from the bed, stuffed Barney at her side and suddenly leaps over the foot board landing silent as a ninja at your feet. Barney in her mouth, whole body wagging just daring you to try to take him. Fun, gentle and with almost no sense of personal space, Winnie can drape over you with a warmth and softness that makes you just sit still and enjoy her presence.
Lulu is a dog so big they had to name her twice. Giraffe legs with a cartoon sized head you take care not to take in the face. Everything is big with Lulu including her heart. She wants to please and can soak in all your attention. Best of all, Lulu is a dog you can wrap both arms around and squeeze. And Lu will give you two soft licks to the nose for your effort.
Murph has all the energy of youth and the definite sidekick in this pair. The one thing I know is he is sticking with Lulu. To his benefit as she is a good influence on him. There is a respect and yet challenges that I am sure will keep Lu young and occasionally annoyed.
Gracie and Bailey always make themselves right at home in their favorite spot. Wherever they are together they are home.
Brother and Sister regulars... Early and Dakota are pit bull mixes, they both are sweet, love long walks and lounging around.
Roman is a lovable lilac tri colored English Bulldog moosh. He doesn't like walks but he loves to sit and people watch from the window. He also is voracious eater of our dog cakes.
JD is a sweet Golden Retriever who loves mile long walks and then napping in some secreted place.
Murphy is a Yorkshire Terrier mix who could be Bailley's twin. He likes to relax and prefers short walks.
Regal Becky in a rare moment of rest just loves the outdoors and gets plenty of exercise when not relaxing with the newspaper.
Our dear friend Hope is a frequent pack member when her mom travels and we have found that she is a fantastic soccer player.
Barlow's first time with us. He loved to snuggle in the morning and spent the afternoon playing with his ball! I hope we see you again!
Missy is a regular pack member and visits for her dad's annual sailing trip. Bailley takes great care to see that all guests are comfortable and happy.
Our favorite guinea pig Emily would like to remind everyone this is called Paws With Us. We love animals here.
These two labs are the closest two sisters in the pack. Countless generations are revealed through eyes calmly watching that warm fire.
Kramer is a 2 year old black lab mix who loves playing with any toy he finds and loves running on walks. At the end of the day this lovable boy goes right to sleep anywhere.
Harper is a sweet and gentle golden retriever with a love of the outdoors like we have not seen. When coaxed in the house, Harper will contently lay on your lap soaking up all the attention she can.
Wallace is a lovable mini long haired Dachshund who loves to be cuddled and takes only quick walks to the end of our street. She is a the very definition of a lap dog and spends most of her waking moments comfortably curled on a family members lap.
